I really enjoyed assignment 5.6.3 - Strategies for Discussions/
Decision-Making with Families. I could see us virtually implementing the "Red Carpet Treatment" tool to ensure we are meeting the needs of students and families.
I liked a lot of the content in the 2nd Module- it really got me fired up about getting families engaged in our virtual academy. What stands out to me the most is any activity that allows us to be creative and build something for direct use in our schools. For example- creating the surveys created a great discussion with my colleagues on what we can send families whenever we get a new student (which happens often!)
We are in the same situation where we get new students every few days. I agree that we are already able to use some of what we are learning in the modules in our day-to-day work.
I enjoyed Activity 7.5.3 - Engagement Design Team Plan. I found this process of planning and it's focus on co-designing was a helpful way to envision collaborative change-making in a PLC/PD setting.
My favorite session was the second session "Plan for Trust, Transparency, and Capacity". This is where I got to figure out ways to include the families of my students in my SEL lessons.

I enjoyed activity 5.1.2 because it got me thinking about ways I can increase family engagement by involving student-centered practices I already use.

I really like the activity that had us reflect on Shifts in School Leadership Mindsets 7.1.3
I found the VUCA model very helpful when reflecting on these mindset changes. It helped to refine and focus!
